Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is describing Froch vs. Groves II as the biggest match/rematch in the history of Boxing. What makes this fight so highly anticipated is the fact that Groves was wrongfully robbed, and people want to see what would’ve happened, if the fight would’ve gone on if Howard Foster didn’t stop it. Many people are saying George Groves losing is his biggest advantage, as he is now much more focused, refreshed, and even more hungry to slay The Cobra, and become the Super-Middleweight Champion of the world.
Now onto The Cobra himself, Carl Froch. I don’t think he took Groves as a threat at all, and he almost payed the ultimate price, back in their fight last November. In the press conference just days before their first fight, Froch said he would “absolutely flatten” Groves, but he didn’t. Froch now knows Groves is a massive threat, and has re-grouped with his team ahead of the big rematch on May 31st. The question is, will The Cobra reign supreme, or will we have a change of the guard?
And now onto my prediction. I think Carl Froch will defeat George Groves and retain his Super-Middleweight Championship of the world. Most people are saying Carl’s time is up, and it’s now Groves’ time to shine, but I don’t think Froch’s time is up just yet. Like I said in my last paragraph, Froch his now more mentally, and physically prepared for Groves, and that is a big advantage heading into their second fight.
So there I said it, I think Froch will beat Groves in one of the biggest fights in the history of British Boxing. What do you think will happen when these two gladiators collide? Have your say in the comment box below!
