Jameis Winston Wins The Heisman

Jameis Winston Won The Heisman, Beating Out AJ McCarron, Jordan Lynch, Andre Williams, Johnny Manziel And Tre Hudson.

Florida State Quarterback, Jameis Winston finished 1st in Heisman voting this year. Winston won with 2,205 points, AJ McCarron finished in 2nd with 704 points. NIU Quaterback, Jordan Lynch came in 3rd with 558 points. Andre Williams came in 4th with 470 points. Johnny Manziel, the 2012 Heisman winner, came in 5th with 421 points. Tre Hudson came in 6th with 404 points.

Jameis Winston is the youngest Heisman winner ever, at 19 years and 342 days. Winston also set many freshman records. He did so by passing for 3,820 yards and 38 touchdowns. Winston also lead the Seminoles leading to No. 1 and a bid into the VIZIO BCS National Championship against Auburn. He did is all while dealing with allegations of sexual assault, which he was recently cleared of. FSU Head Coach Jimbo Fisher had this to say about Winston “”I can’t explain how truly intelligent he is” , “He always wanted to know why he had success or why he had failure so he could either repeat it or fix it.”
