It was an excellently ran performance by the double Olympic Champion, who kept to a steady pace and ran the race calm before taking off in the final laps.

Mo Farah exemplified his presence during the race, running to the front of the pack to take a momentarily lead with 17 laps to go.

The Olympic Champion then slowed back down where he settled in the middle of the pack for the majority of the race.

Maybe not as much a ‘fluid’ race that Mo Farah would have preferred, but his hard work showed and he picks up the deserving win.

The race took it’s toll and all of those who were running, with a slower final lap as fatigue took effect.

In a nail-biting last lap, Mo Farah managed to outrun Silver Medalist Ibrahim Jailan, and the expression in his face was clear from agony to delight.

Seats were indeed on edge for the battle in the final 200m between Farah and Jailan, it was a showcase of incredible talent.

Post race, Mo Farah talked about how hard he trained for this, and he had to spend a lot of time away from his family so much that one of his twins did not recognize him in London as he was away for so long. But the hard work has payed off.

Mo Farah triumphs in an incredible performance. Has the double Olympic Champion now solidified greatness?

It was a personal best for the Olympic Champion  Mo Farah, who took the race easy but then put on an excellent final lap while taking caution ahead of the Championships in Moscow.

Mo Farah broke completely clear of the others to an outstanding ovation to the thousands at the Olympic Stadium.
The Britons who were present to watch got what they wanted, with an excellent performance by Mo Farah. It was a comfortable pace from the start, but he stormed the final lap in a time of 55 seconds.
But the work is not done there as Mo Farah has the intentions for further success at his upcoming Championships:
“This is where I love to run and last year at the Olympics was a really big year for me. This is where I made my name. Each time I race I want to make my country proud. I am honored to represent my country. Tomorrow I’ll go to St Moritz to train ahead of the World Championships and hopefully I’ll get on the podium there.”
Jamaica were outstanding in the 4x100m relay, they were on point with the baton transfers. Meanwhile, Britain dropped the baton and were left in despair.
Usain Bolt stormed through the final straight but just fell short of the record.

A time of 35.75 seconds keeps Jamaica on top, and looking unstoppable.

The London Anniversary Games brings back great memories from the London 2012 Olympics, and the victors remain in Mo Farah and Usain Bolt. Could this be the same outcome in the Moscow Championships?
