MLB: Roy Halladay Retires

2-Time Cy Young Award Winner Roy Halladay Retires, After Signing A One-Day Contract With The Toronto Blue Jays.

Roy Halladay who debuted with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1998 and remained in Toronto through 2009, until he signed with Philly in 2010. Yesterday, he signed a one-day contract to retire a Blue Jay. Halladay was one the most dominant and feared pitcher of his era. He won the Cy Young twice, in 2003 and 2010. He was also an 8-time All-Star. He was the AL Wins leader in 2003, and the NL Wins leader in 2010.  He has also pitched a perfect game, which occured on May 29th 2010.  He pitched a no-hitter later that year in the playoffs. He finishes his career with a 205-103 record and a 3.38 ERA with 2,117 strikeouts. Overall, Halladay will  be remembered as an ace pitcher, and should be ready for a call from Copperstown.
