WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW: The Shield Bring Justice for the McMahons, CM Punk Wants to Fight

Episode 1056 – Monday 19 August, 2013
 Honda Center, Anaheim, CA.

By Nisar Khan

ANAHEIM – Daniel Bryan was the unfortunate recipient of the ‘Justice’ after The Shield attacked him during Randy Orton’s WWE Championship Coronation in the SummerSlam fallout LIVE on RAW.

CENA MAKES ANNOUNCEMENT, DANIEL BRYAN EJECTED BY SECURITY

John Cena opened the show in Anaheim, California where he addressed the lively WWE Universe present at the Honda Center. After announcing that he will be taking a hiatus from the WWE for 4 – 6 months due to elbow surgery, he introduced Daniel Bryan, in respect for their epic encounter the previous night at SummerSlam.

Daniel Bryan was unable to get a word in because he was interrupted by Stephanie McMahon – of who’s husband Triple H attacked Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam. Stephanie insulted Daniel Bryan discussing that he may not deserve to be Champion, before justifying Triple H’s actions saying that they were “…best for business.

The previous WWE Champion was not happy at all, and he threw the microphone out of Stephanie McMahon’s hand. This would evoke her to call security to eject Daniel Bryan from the building, claiming that she will “…not be intimated by any WWE superstar.

Review: John Cena will be out of action for around half a year, so another superstar will be fully fledged into the spotlight from now on. Even if you dislike John Cena, there’s no doubt that he does need a break, not only the surgery but he has been working for a long time. Stephanie McMahon seemed to bore me at times when she was speaking, but as it progressed it seemed a good start to the show, setting up for what Daniel Bryan will do next.

Daniel Bryan left calmly with security for the time being, but would Daniel Bryan settle for this outcome throughout the night?

CODY RHODES VS. DAMIEN SANDOW

In a rematch from SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow battled in another great singles match.

There was more entertaining action between Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow of who demonstrated great chemistry in the ring. Cody Rhodes picked up another win when he got the roll-up pin.

Review: Another great match, it’s great to have Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes putting on great contests. The future could hold a match for the briefcase, but Sandow’s turmoil should eventually end.

Cody Rhodes makes it two consecutive victories over Damien Sandow. Will the briefcase be thrown amongst this saga?

CM PUNK HAS SOME WORDS FOR HEYMAN

After being ringside to watch his client Brock Lesnar defeat his former friend in an incredible war, Paul Heyman went to the ring and asked to reconcile with CM Punk.

Review: I guess this segment was used just to get the weeks by until we hear from CM Punk or Brock Lesnar. Obviously it is highly unlikely that CM Punk will once again align with Heyman, but it is interesting to see how things unfold next.

The ‘Mad Scientist’ described the Brock Lesnar and CM Punk situation as a metaphorical family affair, with himself as the father and Brock Lesnar as the older brother. Paul Heyman seemed serious in his request, how will CM Punk respond?

THE FUNKADACTYLS VS. AJ LEE & LAYLA

Total Divas’ stars the Funkadactyls faced the newly formed team of AJ Lee and Layla in tag-team Divas action.

The match was quite quick but ended in disarray for AJ Lee & Layla, after Layla was pinned from a roll-up when she was distracted. Just another Total Divas plug…

DOLPH ZIGGLER VS. THE SHIELD
(3-ON-1 HANDICAP MATCH)

The Show-Off Dolph Ziggler had the odds stacked against him as he faced The Shield in a handicap match – made by General Manager Brad Maddox after Ziggler’s comments on Triple H’s actions at SummerSlam.

Dolph Ziggler managed to hold his own for quite a while, engaging in great wrestling action with Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose. But Ziggler would soon find himself isolated by Reigns and the other members as they beat down on Ziggler. Out of nowhere, he nailed Reigns with a drop-kick and a great DDT, but the numbers game would prove too much and Ziggler was distracted before turning around into a HUGE spear, followed by a powerbomb to finish the job.

Review: Great opportunity to watch Dolph Ziggler match up with talents like The Shield. We saw great action that pleased ‘wrestling’ fans. This reinforces The Shield’s danger factor which is a good thing, and Ziggler sold that spear so well! Great to watch.

Dolph Ziggler is dismantled by The Shield but he managed to hold up for a while. The Hounds of Justice strike again, but is this the end of the punishment for Ziggler?

ALBERTO DEL RIO VS. SIN CARA

World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio stepped into the ring with the high-flying Sin Cara, but the match would be short-lived.

Sin Cara managed to get some offense stringed together after Del Rio unloaded a series of punches, before Del Rio fled. Sin Cara pursued by jumping over the ropes to Del Rio, but he injured his wrist in the process and signaled to the medic.

Del Rio attempted to pursue Sin Cara but the referee refrained him, Alberto Del Rio then talked about his win the previous night before a timely interruption from Ricardo Rodriguez – the man who Del Rio attacked a few weeks ago.

Rodriguez then announced that he was representing a different wrestler, Rob Van Dam. Van Dam entered and went straight for the World Champion, but Del Rio managed to flee.

Review: How many times have we seen Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara? One of the worst matches ever. This time we did not see the same generic stuff due to Sin Cara’s injury – kayfabe or real, most probably kayfabe since Del Rio attempted to attack him. I did not expect Rob Van Dam to join forces with Rodriguez but Rob Van Dam is probably pursuing the titel next?

Rob Van Dam gets the better of Alberto Del Rio on RAW, is he to pursue the World Heavyweight Championship next?

THE REAL AMERICANS VS. THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS

Zeb Colter delivered a promo prior to The Real American’s match as they engaged in Tag Team action with the Prime Time Players.

It was a strong performance by both teams, with Titus O’Neil exemplifying his raw power, meanwhile the Real Americans had a strong showing also, especially their best move when Cesaro leap-frogged Swagger to land double-feet on Titus O’Neil’s gut.

Darren Young was tagged in with a heap of momentum and he hit Cesaro with a Gut-Buster to give Prime Time Players the win.

Review: Strong tag-team match. These are two promising tag-teams who put on a great performance, and a big win for the Prime Time Players who’s persona changes over the week.

The Prime Time Players knock off The Real Americans? What is next for this tag team?

Prime Time Players have been together for over a year but are yet to win Gold (via WWE.com)

THE BIG SHOW VS. THE SHIELD
(3-ON-1 HANDICAP MATCH)

Brad Maddox chased down The Big Show next, and he booked Big Show in a handicap match with The Shield, of where they will all be in the ring at the same time.

Big Show surprisingly dealt well with the numbers game, quickly eliminating the powerhouse factor by throwing Roman Reigns over the top rope, then dealing with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Reigns was absent following a spear by Big Show until the end of the match, as Big Show continued to beat Rollins and Ambrose. But then they managed to outwit The Big Show by running in the ring then out, catching Big Show off guard then setting up Roman Reigns to Spear The Big Show.

Big Show’s first match back in the WWE was marked with a loss (via WWE.com)

The Shield marked their act of justice with a Triple Powerbomb, before pinning The Big Show. Yet another superstar pays for his comments towards Triple H.

Review: Great theme going a long with the Hounds of Justice and them making the superstars pay for their comments. Good to see The Big Show in great shape and The Shield redeeming themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

The Shield make The Big Show their next victim. Is this Triple H and Brad Maddox’s way of justice?

CM PUNK WANTS TO “FIGHT”

After being defeated by Brock Lesnar in the incredible Best vs. Beast showdown at SummerSlam, CM Punk was not in a good mood and he wanted to fight.

The Straight Edge Savior called out a fan ringside who was booing CM Punk, and was fired up. Then he spoke about Heyman’s request, and he looked like he would apologize, but in fact he did not, he vowed to get his hands on Paul Heyman one day. Then, Paul Heyman told Curtis Axel to wrap his hands and fight.

Following the commercial break, Curtis Axel came down to the ring and CM Punk attacked him promptly, followed by using the chair. But CM Punk’s injuries sustained during the SummerSlam match would open an advantage for Curtis Axel to take control, using the chair on his back. Curtis Axel could have very well broken CM Punk’s leg with the chair, but The Best in the World was able to move out of the way and hit Axel with the chair, before a GTS on to the steps.

Review: Awesome promo by CM Punk, he was just so fired up. There is some serious business going ahead for Heyman and Punk. It would be interesting to hear the thoughts of the fan that Punk called out. This could lead up to Punk vs. Axel at the next PPV.

CM Punk gets a fight with Curtis Axel, but how far will he go to get his hands on Paul Heyman?

BRAY WYATT VS. R-TRUTH

Bray Wyatt made his debut on Monday Night RAW when he faced the very unique R-Truth.

R-Truth’s unorthodox offense gave him an early advantage, but Bray Wyatt managed to easily combat it before finishing R-Truth with the “Sister Abigail”.

Bray Wyatt quickly defeats R-Truth. But what have the Wyatt Family done with Kane?

This is R-Truth’s second run-in with the Wyatt Family (via WWE.com)

THE USOs VS. JINDER MAHAL & HEATH SLATER

There was more tag team action on RAW as 3MB’s Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater battled The Usos.

The 3MB put up a decent performance, but the victory for The Usos was closed in on when Jey Uso hit Jinder Mahal with a Super-Kick, followed by jumping over the top rope onto Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre – while tagging in his twin brother in the process to finish with a Samoan Splash. Nice victory.

THE MIZ VS. WADE BARRETT

It was a WrestleMania 29 rematch as Wade Barrett battled the SummerSlam host The Miz.

After The Miz took some action to Barrett and vice versa, Miz was down on the canvas when Fandango came out of nowhere and delivered a leg-drop to The Miz followed by an attack.

How will The Miz react to this attack?

RANDY ORTON’S CHAMPIONSHIP CORONATION

The whole WWE roster was looking on from the stage as Triple H introduced Randy Orton’s WWE Championship celebration.

The Shield were ringside security as Triple H justified his actions saying it was for the future of WWE and that he put his personal feud with Orton aside for WWE’s better future. Then he introduced WWE Champion Randy Orton.

Triple H taunts Daniel Bryan to get in the ring (via WWE.com)

Randy Orton thanked Triple H for the opportunity, and ordered everyone in the arena to do so. Then Triple H asked Daniel Bryan to enter, getting the arena to welcome him chanting YES! YES! YES! and they played his music as Bryan entered from around the stage.

Just as Bryan made his way to the ring, The Shield attacked him and they were about to Powerbomb him until Triple H asked The Shield to let him get in the ring, when he did, he received a lethal RKO.

Review: It had me excited throughout the night although it was not as good as expected. It had the good feel of a big heel force back in the WWE, which is awesome. Although there was not much answered, this really just carried forward to next week.

WWE Champion Randy Orton makes his statement as WWE Champion with a vicious RKO to Daniel Bryan. With The Viper now flanked by the McMahons also, is Randy Orton’s era of dominance in for the long run?

OVERALL SHOW REVIEW

Quite a disappointing RAW tonight, considering it was after SummerSlam, it was lackluster at times but the ending may have made up for it. Good recurring theme with The Shield bringing justice to the McMahons, and CM Punk’s segment was great too. Some decent matches in a RAW that was good but disappointing as it should have been better for a post-SummerSlam show.

Randy Orton and the McMahons have brought a dark era into the WWE. Meanwhile, CM Punk has an undying quest to get his hands on Paul Heyman. The night after SummerSlam and the new era in WWE has begun.

WWE SUMMERSLAM 2013: Questions to be Answered After Biggest Event of the Summer

By Nisar Khan

WWE SummerSlam is in the books, and it was indeed an incredible night that saw Randy Orton cash-in his WWE Championship contract on Daniel Bryan after he was Pedigreed by Triple H. Also, Brock Lesnar defeated CM Punk in a battle for the ages. Here are some questions coming out of the event that could be answered on the upcoming RAW.

IS CHRISTIAN DONE WITH THE WWE?

Christian’s ‘One More Match’ opportunity at Alberto Del Rio’s World Heavyweight Championship ended in him tapping out to the Cross-Arm Breaker. Christian finally got the opportunity to challenge for the title, but he lost his ‘One More Match’. And with WWE showing video packages of his career, could Christian be parting ways with WWE? If he does, he goes out after a great match at SummerSlam. Or maybe he thinks he needs, One. More. Match.

WHAT HAS THE WYATT FAMILY DONE WITH KANE?

After Kane was defeated by Bray Wyatt in the Ring of Fire match, his so-called ‘brothers’ attacked Kane savagely with the steel steps, before carrying him away as they left the arena. One thing is for sure, the saga between Kane and the Wyatt Family is far from over, but could Kane now join the Wyatt Family. Some interesting and intriguing prospects coming out of this.

HOW WILL DAMIEN SANDOW REACT TO A LOSS FROM A LOSS TO CODY RHODES?

Cody Rhodes defeated Damien Sandow in a great wrestling showcase at SummerSlam. When the Money in the Bank contract holder spoke to WWE.com after the match, he believed that he is better than Rhodes. So does Damien Sandow want to fight again and prove this? How far will he go? Could he even up the ante and put the briefcase on the line?

HOW FAR WILL HEYMAN GO TO GET HIS HANDS ON PAUL HEYMAN?

After suffering a loss to Brock Lesnar in an epic battle at SummerSlam, CM Punk told WWE.com that he has unfinished business with Paul Heyman. Does this mean it is imminent that Paul Heyman will pay for his actions? Heyman’s days numbered?

CM Punk’s attack on Heyman was cut short by Lesnar (via WWE.com)

 WHAT’S NEXT FOR BROCK LESNAR?

Brock Lesnar’s triumph over CM Punk in The Best vs. The Beast showdown leaves more questions. What will Brock Lesnar pursue in his path of destruction next. Could this be his last time in action until WrestleMania 30? Judging by his schedule this could be the case, but then, who will his opponent be? The Rock? Maybe he will challenge The Streak? Or maybe The Best in the World will want a rematch.

MORE PPV CLASHES OUT OF THE MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH?

Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn defeated Big E Langston and AJ Lee in a mixed tag team match, but is this the end then, or will we see them battle again on another pay-per-view. You could expect it to be settled with a few matches on RAW and then the rivalries diffuse.

WHERE DOES JOHN CENA STAND IN THE WWE TITLE PICTURE?

John Cena lost his WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan after a classic match in the SummerSlam main event. But Daniel Bryan’s victory was cut short when Randy Orton cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. Now, with John Cena apparently scheduled for surgery, he may be taking a few months off and this leaves Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton fighting over the title. Upon his return however, will he attempt to recapture the Gold?

WHAT’S IN STORE FOR THE VIPER’S TITLE REIGN?

Randy Orton as WWE Champion puts the WWE under a new era, but what is to come into his title reign. While Cena undergoes surgery, it is inevitable that he will feud over the title with Daniel Bryan. If he makes it over that obstacle, who will challenge him next. Maybe the Best in the World, possibly Brock Lesnar. These could be far-fetched, but either way, with John Cena out, the title picture could drastically broaden over the next few months.

WHY DID TRIPLE H ATTACK DANIEL BRYAN?

One of the most shocking moments on SummerSlam was when Triple H Pedigreed Daniel Bryan, allowing Randy Orton to cash-in. But WHY did Triple H do this? Was he aligning forces with Vince McMahon after all? Has the WWE Universe been deceived?

SummerSlam was an incredible pay-per-view. And as we move forward in the next chapter of WWE, we hope to get some answers to these questions.

KANE VS. BRAY WYATT
RING OF FIRE MATCH

Bray Wyatt stepped into Kane’s Ring of Fire to open the main card at SummerSlam. But would the flames achieve their purpose of keeping the Wyatt Family out?
Kane went straight after Bray Wyatt with the flames rising intensely. Some vicious combinations by Kane had Bray Wyatt dazed, although he was able to contend with Kane as the match progressed. During the action, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan had numerous attempts of trying to get in the ring, but when they tried the flames rose up ferociously. There was some further inferno activity when Kane delivered a Chokeslam. Kane could have easily won the match there, but he wanted to exceed the punishment.

Erick Rowan and Luke Harper finally found a way to beat the flames, using a fire retardant blanket to get over the flames. They entered the ring and attacked Kane, the numbers game caught up and Kane was finished by Bray Wyatt, and he picked up a huge victory on his debut. But, the Wyatt Family were not done yet.

The Wyatt Family savagely attacked Kane with the steel steps, smashing his head of the steps, before they left the arena… with Kane.

REVIEW:

Really strong way to start of the PPV, it is awesome to see the ring surrounded in fire. Some people were complaining about the flame height, I think that it did not really matter as the flames went up during big moves or attempts to get in the ring. I expected Bray Wyatt to win clean, and I was pretty shocked when the Wyatt’s used the blanket to get through. But, this opens up for much more now, and there is a lot of intrigue ahead of what the Wyatts will actually do with Kane.

Bray Wyatt debuts on winning ways after defeating Kane in a Ring of Fire. But the Wyatt Family have taken Kane, where is he going, and what are the intentions of the Wyatt Family?

CODY RHODES VS. DAMIEN SANDOW

Mr. Money in the Bank Cody Rhodes took to the ring to battle his former friend Cody Rhodes in a match that began the next chapter in their personal rivalry.

As expected, there was some superb in-ring wrestling by the two. It was clear of how well they knew each other in the ring with numerous counters and familiarity. After a great showcase of the WWE’s finest mid-carders, Cody Rhodes struck out of nowhere with a Disaster Kick, ultimately finished off with Cross-Rhodes to pin the Intellectual Savior of the Masses, Damien Sandow.

REVIEW:

Superb wrestling between the two. It is speculative to say the least that they may have deserved more time but they made great work with the time they had. This rivalry may not be over considering that Cody Rhodes won and he may pursue the briefcase, or this rivalry may be reincarnated further down the line if/when Damien Sandow is World Heavyweight Champion.

Cody Rhodes defeats his former friend Sandow, but is this rivalry really over? (via WWE.com)

ALBERTO DEL RIO VS. CHRISTAIN
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Christian got “One More Match” when he had a Golden opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship as he challenged Alberto Del Rio.

“THIS IS AWESOME” chanted the crowd as Christian went airborne. (via WWE.com)

A very technical contest proved for some great entertainment, with Christian pulling out all the stops in his opportunity to finally capture the World Heavyweight Championship again. It was another awesome contest, with the fans showing their appreciation chanting “THIS IS AWESOME!” and they just seemed lively throughout the bout. After a fair share of close calls, Christian took a lot of punishment but almost had it secured when he hit a Spear, but he injured his arm in the process, allowing Alberto Del Rio to lock in a lethal Cross-Arm Breaker.

Following a resilient struggle from Christian in resistance to the submission, it was ulimately an effort in vein as Christian tapped out.

REVIEW:

Another great match. Strong start to the match with three enthralling bouts. Maybe the questionable booking of these two in a non-title match a few weeks ago can be justified timidly, as this match was awesome. I did not expect Christian to tap out, I expected Del Rio to be screwed by Christian. Maybe they may have another bout, because Christian deserves a World title, and Alberto Del Rio is getting stale as Champion. Still produced an excellent match, though.

Christian is forced to tap out. Alberto Del Rio remains World Heavyweight Champion. Could this be the end of Christian? Or does he need One More Match?

NATALYA VS. BRIE BELLA

Really?

Total Divas stars Natalya and Brie Bella went one-on-one with the rest of the cast in support looking on ringside.

A short match that really was just a prolonged advert for Total Divas, the expected chaos breaks out to show you the drama… blah, blah, blah.

CM PUNK VS. BROCK LESNAR
THE BEST VS. THE BEAST

The Best vs. The Beast. It was No Disqualification as Brock Lesnar and CM Punk went to war in Los Angeles.

It was fast paced and physical straight from the bell, with Brock Lesnar manhandling CM Punk in the early stages. CM Punk looked in dire straits during the match and it could have been all over within minutes. When CM Punk found an opening, he exploited it, but then his attention turned to Paul Heyman, and it cost him.

Brock Lesnar was able to attack CM Punk and regain control, throwing him around like a ragdoll, on the commentary table and he even nailed a perfect belly-to-belly suplex. Brock Lesnar was dominant, but CM Punk’s determination helped him get through it and take an advantage.

CM Punk finally got his hands on Heyman.

There was an incredible sequence of submissions when CM Punk found himself in a Kimura, but then he managed to keep on a tight Triangle Choke, and it took two powerbombs for Brock to break out. Eventually, CM Punk would once again regain control, but yet again, his attention to Paul Heyman would be his downfall.

CM Punk was able to gain an advantage when Paul Heyman was on the apron. He grabbed on to his tie when Brock Lesnar was preparing to finish it off with an F5, and he hit CM Punk with a GTS. But instead of going for the pinfall, he once again pursued Heyman, but this allowed Lesnar to recover and eventually finish it with an F5 on the steel chair.

The Beast once again showed his dominance at SummerSlam in Los Angeles, CA. (via WWE.com)

Chaotic? Hard to digest? You bet. And the thing is, that is just some of what happened in the incredible battle. Include an Anaconda Vise to Heyman, a few steel chairs and a lot more then you’ll be there.

REVIEW:

INCREDIBLE match. Undoubtedly a Match of the Year candidate. Completely worth the money on pay-per-view, props to both for putting on outstanding performances. The hardest thing is actually writing about this match, because there is so much to write about. This stole the show. Reading about it is not good enough, you need to watch it to realize just how amazing it was. Brock Lesnar and CM Punk, thank you for putting on a phenomenal match.

DOLPH ZIGGLER & KAITLYN
VS. BIG E LANGSTON & AJ LEE

Big E Langston beats down Ziggler. (via WWE.com)

Two rivalries intertwined drew to a standstill in Mixed Tag Team action as Big E Langston and AJ Lee teamed to face Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn.

After some back-and-forth rivalry settling (sometimes generic) in ring action, Big E Langston almost capitalized on Dolph Ziggler who was distracted by AJ Lee, but Ziggler managed to kick out and eventually finish Langston, marking a double victory for Ziggler and Kaitlyn.

Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn get away with the win. (via WWE.com)

JOHN CENA VS. DANIEL BRYAN
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE – TRIPLE H)

The WWE Championship showdown would close the show, as Daniel Bryan challenged John Cena for the most coveted prize in sports entertainment, with Triple H overseeing the action as referee.

Special Guest Referee, the King of Kings, Triple H vowes to be impartial.

John Cena had to bring a much more technical game when he stepped in the ring with Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan was bringing his A-Game to the table and had Cena in a bad way with his numerous technical moves. Cena was a recipient of BOOS and negative reception, while the crowd were fully fledged behind Daniel Bryan.

Bryan continued to wear out John Cena, and it could have been all over with a Guillotine choke (that Chael Sonnen used to submit Shogun Rua) but John Cena just managed to escape.
https://i0.wp.com/gyazo.com/20ef203710065444cf18c6d7dc238152.png
After an incredible and physical contest, the two were exhausted and found themselves slapping each other, and it escalated into Daniel Bryan taking control with Los Angeles embracing the YES! YES! YES!

Then he did it, Daniel Bryan ran from the turnbuckle and knocked out John Cena, pinning him for the win, and the new WWE Champion is crowned!

But then… Randy Orton’s music hit. Would he cash in?

It seemed like he was just sending a message. Then Triple H turned to Daniel Bryan delivering a huge Pedigree, allowing Randy Orton to cash-in and become the New WWE Champion.

The Viper advances his way to the ring, as the WWE Universe goes crazy.
Triple H betrays Daniel Bryan hitting him with a Pedigree.

REVIEW:

Another AMAZING match! Incredible way to end SummerSlam, I thought that Bryan would not win clean, but in fact he did! What a way to end with a New Champion! Then Triple H turns on Bryan! What an end to SummerSlam.

New WWE Champion, Randy Orton.

OVERALL SHOW REVIEW:

GRADE: A-

SummerSlam indeed lives up to expectations and exceeds it! INCREDIBLE EVENT WITH AN AMAZING ENDING! WOW. Completely worth the buy! The only matches that really lacked something were the Mixed Tag Match and Diva’s match. Christian vs. Del Rio was an excellent contest, Sandow and Rhodes put on some great action, and we had two EPIC MATCHES FOR THE AGES with Lesnar vs. Punk and Bryan vs. Cena. I personally cannot wait for what is next. Randy Orton and Triple H are now heel, and the landscape of the WWE has been turned upside down.

SummerSlam is one of the best Pay-Per-Views I have seen in the last few years. If you have not watched it, you need to – it is just… WOW. Best match of the night? Lesnar vs. Punk edges it SLIGHTLY over Bryan vs. Cena – but both were phenomenal. The WWE has hit it out of the park with SummerSlam, many are going to be tuning into RAW to see what happens next. Woah! What a night.

RESULTS SUMMARY

  • Bray Wyatt def. Kane (Ring of Fire Match)
  • Cody Rhodes def. Damien Sandow
  • Albert Del Rio def. Christian via Submission (Cross-Arm Breaker, Retains Title)
  • Natalya def. Brie Bella via Submission

  • Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn def. Big E Langston & AJ Lee

Shocking end to an incredible night. WWE SummerSlam lives up to it’s title of the Biggest Event of the Summer with an incredible night of action. The door is wide open in prosperity for the future after this event. We have a new WWE Champion, The Beast has beaten the Best and much more. The New Era has begun.
