WWE HELL IN A CELL 2013: Predicting Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena

Hell in a Cell is almost here, so here is my prediction for the World Title match between Alberto Del Rio and John Cena.

World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio puts his World Title on the line against the returning John Cena.

As you all know, Cena is returning from an injury. It’s likely that Del Rio will carry Cena through the match, and Cena won’t perform any high-risk moves. The way I see the match panning out, Cena and Del Rio will wrestle for a good 7-8 minutes, with Cena coming out on top.

I think Del Rio will start mocking Cena. Then,  Del Rio gets caught out in in the STF, resulting in Del Rio tapping out, and more importantly, resulting a new World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena.

Many people think that Damien Sandow will cash-in on either Del Rio or Cena, but I don’t. He may cash-in the next night on Raw, like Ziggler did against Del Rio, the night after WrestleMania 29. If Sandow cashes in this way, it will be unexpected.

The way I see it panning out, Del Rio will attack Cena on Raw, leading to Sandow cashing in his contract. This could be exactly the way Ziggler cashed in on Del Rio. At WrestleMania 29, Del Rio defeated Jack Swagger to retain his World Title. The next night, Swagger and Del Rio had a re-match (not for the title), with Del Rio winning, but Swagger injuring Del Rio’s ankle. That’s how I see it panning out.

WWE: What is John Cena’s Role at Hell in a Cell?

By Nisar Khan

After John Cena was announced as the opponent of World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio at Hell in a Cell, speculation has been running rampant about what role John Cena will play. Is there more than meets the eye come Hell in a Cell?

John Cena took time off following SummerSlam – where he lost his WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan – to receive treatment on an elbow injury. Initially, the 13-time World Champion was said to be out for around four-to-six months, and speculation was that he would return at the Royal Rumble.

However, on the September 30th edition of Monday Night RAW, Vickie Guerrero would announce that John Cena would in fact be Alberto Del Rio’s next opponent at Hell in a Cell – just two months after the Leader of the CeNation took time off for injury.

The situation just seems odd. What is John Cena really doing back at Hell in a Cell?

One would obviously presume that if John Cena did return, he would pick up from where he left off, in the WWE title picture. But now, it seems that he has upped-sticks and moved onto the World Heavyweight Championship. It seems far too early for John Cena to be back, there may be more than meets the eye come the Hell in a Cell Championship match.

One thing that could come into the fray here is Mr. Money in the Bank, Damien Sandow. Is Cena’s role at Hell in a Cell simply to defeat Alberto Del Rio, only to be re-injured during the bout allowing the Intellectual Savior of the Masses to cash-in?

That could very well be the case.

Another possible outcome could set up a feud for WrestleMania XXX. Since John Cena may be carrying an injury, he could get screwed at Hell in a Cell, be out of action until WrestleMania season, and make a triumphant return.

And with that, comes the debate. Who will John Cena’s WrestleMania opponent be? Since Hell in a Cell is in Miami, Florida, The Rock could make a return in his hometown. Or The Undertaker could make a statement in his playground, Hell in a Cell.

Call it far-fetched, call it what you want. But either way, John Cena is not 100% at Hell in a Cell, that’s for sure.

Of course, not everything has to be linked to storylines though, this could be to promote the Cancer Awareness month. Since John Cena is set to be on WWE television in the coming weeks, his purpose could be raising awareness to the cause.

John Cena promotes cancer awareness towards his match with Alberto Del Rio. At Hell in a Cell, he will win the bout but aggravate his injury, allowing Damien Sandow to capitalize and win the World Heavyweight Championship, that’s the logical way it could pan out.

For now, clarity is something yet to be attained with regards to John Cena’s role at WWE Hell in a Cell. Our knowledge will no doubt increase as we get nearer to the event.

Will John Cena be in to capture the Gold at Hell in a Cell? Or will he simply play a part in the transition of reigns to Damien Sandow?
